A dynamic and lively effect for the facade

Admittedly, the product is not new; as an aluminum house panel, it has been part of the product range at haushaut Pohl Falzprodukte GmbH in Cologne for some time. However, master roofer Dirk Schmitz from 33129 Delbrück has now impressively demonstrated just how versatile and creative the house panel can be during the construction of his new private residence and business premises.

The project is a clearly structured building with an 11 x 14-meter footprint and a mono-pitch roof. René Richter from the Bauzentrum Westerhorstmann in Delbrück acted as a "sparring partner," ordering the aluminum material from haushaut in Cologne according to roofer Schmitz's plans and having it delivered in coils as requested. Schmitz then handled the cutting himself.

While the house panel (db 703) was previously available in standard dimensions of 185 mm x 0.7 mm (250 mm coil width), Schmitz chose three different sizes, cut the panels himself, and installed them on the facade according to his own design (101 mm x 0.7 mm, 166.6 mm coil width; 185 mm x 0.7 mm, 250 mm coil width; 268 mm x 0.7 mm, 333 mm coil width).

What a dynamic and lively effect this trick has given the facade! This has clearly convinced the team at haushaut in Cologne as well. They are now considering whether to add these "new" widths to their standard product range. The house panel is already available in lengths of 1150 mm and 2300 mm. There is also a choice of colors: Anthracite Pearls, Brown Pearls, Gray Pearls, and House Gray Pearls (as shown here).

By the way, the panels are incredibly easy to work with. As with all aluminum products from haushaut, special emphasis is placed on simple yet secure handling, and yet the facade claddings and roof shingles from the Cologne-based company (especially the almost legendary Canada shingle) remain extremely weather-resistant and storm-proof for decades.

This has long been proven by many public buildings across the country, as well as large international projects, not to mention countless smaller and larger private homes, garden sheds, apartment buildings, and everything in between. And they are simply stunningly beautiful, too!
